Lots of changes have been taking place at The Gadget Doctor. We’re discontinuing a lot of our repair services and focusing more on product offerings. But we still fix iPods & MP3 players. Here’s a list of the ones we still repair:

iPod Video 30GB/60GB/80GB

iPod Classic 80GB/120GB/160GB

Zune 80GB/120GB

Creative Zen Vision:M

Creative Zen Vision:W

Creative ZEN (8GB and up) (LCD replacement only)

Creative Zen X-Fi (8GB and up) (LCD replacement only)

We’re adding more relevant products to our store, such as iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPod Classic repair parts. We know that you will need headphone jacks, batteries, LCD screens and more.

The Gadget Doctor focuses exclusively on OEM (original equipment manufacturer) repair parts/components; we will never sell you a fake illegal copy. We sell the same parts that Apple uses during manufacturing of iPods and iPhones. And yet, we will still offer you the most competitive pricing, even as some of our competitors try to take shortcuts by selling illegal fake copies.

During the next few months we will be adding more inventory to our store. And all of it will be brand new and OEM components.

The Gadget Doctor has hired an Electrical Design Engineer. With this new addition to the team will come a much wider variety of services and plenty of price cuts - a huge benefit to those seeking repairs for their gadgets. The Gadget Doctor will now repair your device with less parts replacements; for example, instead of replacing your whole motherboard for $99.99, The Gadget Doctor will fix your motherboard, and for half the price!

Not only will repairs be offered at a lower cost for the customer, but they will also be of the highest quality and workmanship, as they will be completed by, or pass inspection of, our Electrical Design Engineer.

The Gadget Doctor currently offers iPod & MP3 player repair services, but will very soon be accepting Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, select other game consules, laptops and computers for repairs. The Gadget Doctor also plans on accepting cell phones and PDA’s for repairs in the future. All repairs by The Gadget Doctor are covered by a 90-day parts and labor warranty.

AnyThingButiPod.com is a website that offers news, reviews and discussion forums for all MP3 players except iPods. About a year ago or so, AnyThingButiPod.com was sold to a new owner. Almost instantly, the new owner and the mods at ABI became hostile and extremely unfriendly to a long-standing member of ABI who wrote helpful “do-it-yourself repairs” articles for the site’s forum.

Before the site transfer, Erwin (the previous owner), allowed this member to have a link in their signature to their personal website, which offers repair services and do-it-yourself repair articles for MP3 players. Recently, I, the long-standing member spoken of above, tried to login to www.AnyThingButiPod.com, and was greeted with this highly professional message from the owner and mods:

“You are incredibly rude. I don’t know how many times i as well as my mods have asked you not to spam the site. All links to your site have been banned from this site. FUCK OFF! Date the ban will be lifted: Never”

Links to my site www.TheGadgetDr.com directed readers to instructional do-it-yourself repair articles and benefited members, but they were taken off the site. ABI members have been disappointed. But now they can just come directly to my blog for do-it-yourself-repair articles and take-apart video tutorials.
